KU on Wheels will notify riders of major service alerts, such as changes in routes, detours, snow days, missed trips, or other significant events via text or e-mail messages. Alerts only available for routes 11-43. Please visit www.kuonwheels.ku.edu to sign up.
Lawrence Transit System provides service alerts online and through e-mail messages. Visit www.lawrenceks.org/subscriptions to sign up for the Public Transit e-mail list under the category City News. Updates for routes 1-11 are made only during administrative office hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Route 4 rerouted during N 2nd Street project
Route 4 is rerouted in North Lawrence during construction at N 2nd and Locust Streets. Passengers wishing to catch the northbound bus on Locust will need to do so between N 3rd and N 7th. After departing I-70 Business Center, the southbound bus will continue south on N 2nd across the bridge and back on route. Passengers wishing to catch the bus in the neighborhoods will need to do so on the northbound trip. View map of the reroute (PDF, 45 KB).

City and KU offer coordinated pass program
An agreement between the city and the university allows easier access to both bus systems. KU students, faculty and staff can ride the T fixed-route service free by showing a valid KU Card. Riders who show a valid T bus pass or transfer slip can ride the KU on Wheels buses for free. Services excluded from the agreement are T Lift, JayLift, SafeBus, and SafeRide.
