We acknowledge the tool may generate unexpected or unrealistic results at times. It is a work in progress. We invite you to submit feedback on how we can make it better.

Riders should be aware the trip planner will not take into account bus reroutes, where the route has been temporarily changed for street repairs or other road closures. You may call the customer service line to confirm the details of your trip at (785) 864-4644.

Please read the following information and click on the button below to view the Lawrence Transit System and KU on Wheels on Google Transit.

How it works

  1. Enter an origin and destination into the trip planner and receive three options for making a trip. Options presented might use different routes to complete the same trip or alternate times of day.
  2. Beneath the origin and destination fields, click “show options” to adjust the timeframe of the trip to better suit your schedule. The results also will show the difference in cost between taking public transit and driving for the selected trip.

Plan a Trip.

Need help planning a trip on the bus? Plug in your origin and destination, and let Google do the rest. Trip planner will give three suggested routes. Both city and university bus routes are included. Give it a try!
