Buses to reroute for St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 17
On Wednesday, March 17, Massachusetts Street will be closed from 11th St. to 14th St. starting at 12 p.m. The parade will start at 1 p.m. and will run down Massachusetts St. across the bridge to North Lawrence. During this time, buses will use layover points at the northeast corner of 9th and New Hampshire and the northwest corner of 9th and Vermont.
When downtown, Routes 3, 4, 6 and 11 will pick up and drop off passengers at 9th and Vermont. Routes 1, 2, and 7 will pick up and drop off passengers at 9th and New Hampshire.
Route 4 rerouted during N 2nd Street project
Route 4 is rerouted in North Lawrence during construction at N 2nd and Locust Streets. Passengers wishing to catch the northbound bus on Locust will need to do so between N 3rd and N 7th. After departing I-70 Business Center, the southbound bus will continue south on N 2nd across the bridge and back on route. Passengers wishing to catch the bus in the neighborhoods will need to do so on the northbound trip. View map of the reroute (PDF, 45 KB).

City and KU offer coordinated pass program
An agreement between the city and the university allows easier access to both bus systems. KU students, faculty and staff can ride the T fixed-route service free by showing a valid KU Card. Riders who show a valid T bus pass or transfer slip can ride the KU on Wheels buses for free. Services excluded from the agreement are T Lift, JayLift, SafeBus, and SafeRide.
