In 2007, the T provided 388,325 one-way trips, while the T Lift provided 57,497 trips. In addition to ridership statistics, the report highlights system improvements, planning efforts, partnership progress, public education and outreach activities, comments from the public, and a message from the administrator.

In 2006, the T provided 421,864 one-way trips, while the T Lift provided 55,176 trips. Ridership increased by 8.6 percent, well above the national average of 3 percent. In addition to ridership growth, the report highlights new partnerships, system improvements, public education and outreach, comments from riders, and a message from the administrator.

Announcements

Closing of Iowa Street bridge means an extended reroute for Route 3

The Iowa Street bridge over the Kansas Turnpike closed in December 2007 for reconstruction. The project is expected to last approximately 6 to 8 months. Route 3 is following a reroute using Kasold Drive and will still be able to provide service to the North Iowa industrial park.

Route 8 to reroute for Oread project

During work near 12th Street and Oread Avenue, Route 8 inbound will not travel northbound on Indiana Street between 12th and 11th Streets. Route 8 will use Louisiana Street during this portion of the route.

Day pass available for the T

Making multiple trips in a single day? Give the day pass a try. The pass is the only one that is purchased directly from the bus driver. Once it's punched, you can use the pass for unlimited rides on that day. Full fare day passes are $2.75, and reduced fare passes are $1.35 with valid identification.
