Day Pass

The day pass is the only pass that is purchased directly from the bus driver, valid for unlimited rides on the day it's punched. The day pass is available for the T fixed-route only, not for the T Lift paratransit service.

10-Ride Punch Ticket

Recommended for riders who would not benefit from the monthly pass. This would include the occassional rider who doesn't want to worry about having exact change. Multiple punch tickets can be purchased at one time.

Monthly Pass

Recommended for riders who average at least 40 trips per month. The pass is discounted 15% from the regular bus fare. Designed to be purchased prior to the month used. Pass purchases will not be prorated. Multiple passes may be purchased at one time.

KU Students

Add a T sticker to your current KU on Wheels bus pass and gain access to the Lawrence Transit System. T stickers are $50 per semester and $20 for the summer. For more information, call the KU Parking and Transit Department, (785) 864-7275.

Where to Buy

Monthly passes and 10-ride punch tickets can be purchased at the City of Lawrence utility billing office on the second floor of City Hall, 6 East 6th Street, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays. Cash, Check only. Also available at the Community Mercantile, 901 Iowa, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Day passes are purchased directly from the bus driver. T stickers available at KU Parking and Transit, 1501 Irving Hill Road.

*Reduced Fare Eligibility

Starting July 1, 2007, transit patrons seeking a reduced fare are required to prove that they are either a grade 10-12 student, age 60+, HINU student, or KU student through a valid identification card or student ID. In order to receive a reduced fare, persons with disabilities need to provide a Medicare card, T Lift Identification Card (provided by Lawrence Transit System), or Valid Photo Identification from another public transportation system proving paratransit certification. Riders who cannot provide proof of meeting any of the eligibility criteria will be charged a full fare. Only K-9 students are not required to show proof of age to qualify for the reduced fare.
