Monthly Pass

A monthly pass is recommended for riders who average at least 40 trips per month. Pass is discounted 15% from the regular bus fare. It should be purchased prior to the calendar month the pass will be used. Pass purchases will not be prorated. Multiple passes may be purchased at one time.

Day Pass

The day pass is valid for unlimited rides on the day it is punched. Pass must be purchased from a T bus driver and is available for fixed-route buses only, not for the paratransit service.

10-Ride Punch Card

A 10-Ride Punch Card is recommended for riders who would not benefit from the monthly pass, including occasional riders who don’t want to worry about carrying exact change. Multiple punch cards can be purchased at one time.

Reduced Fare Policy

Transit patrons seeking a reduced fare are required to prove their status as a grade 10-12 student, age 60+, or HINU student through a valid identification card or student ID. In order to receive reduced fare on fixed-route T buses, persons with disabilities need to provide a Medicare card, or a current T Lift identification card (provided by Lawrence Transit System). Riders who cannot show proof of meeting the eligibility criteria will be charged full fare. Only students in grades K-9 are not required to show proof of age to qualify for reduced fare. Reduced fare passes can only be sold to the eligible individual.
